RULES OF TAE KWON DO SCHOOLS

Tae Kwon Do schools' rules vary from school to school, but there are some universal principles:

  • Bow when entering and leaving the Dojang (Tae Kwon Do practicing hall)
  • Bowing is done from a standing position, feet together, arms at the sides, by lowering the head slightly and bending forward at the waist
  • If a junior displays lack of knowledge, it is the responsibility of seniors to inform, clarify or teach them
  • Have a clean and neat Dobok (Tae Kwon Do uniform) at all times
  • No profanity in the Dojang
  • No smoking, alcohol or chewing gums in the Dojang
