New York punk legends The Ramones will reunite in the fall to record a song and possibly film a cameo for the upcoming punk rock thriller Too Tough to Die. Directed Ali Eckert, the film will also feature cameos by rockers Iggy Pop, Joe Strummer (ex-Clash), Mike Ness (Social Distortion), and Ice T. In addition the new Ramones cut, the soundtrack will include songs by Pearl Jam, Offspring, Bad Religion and more.

Singer Joey Ramone spoke exclusively to KNAC.COM and had this to say to their
fans: "Hey All! Concerning the Ramones reuniting to record a new song and
make an appearance in the film Too Tough to Die - it's true. The film
sounds pretty wild and over the top, a punk rock thriller. German filmmaker Ali
Eckert approached us two years ago. Being totally skeptic, he came by my house
and gave me a verbal synapse of the film, in which I was very impressed. We've
all met with him at this point. He's a big fan with a unique vision. If he can
pull this off, it could really be something special. A lot of cool artists and
actors have agreed to appear. Let's see what happens and hope for the
best."
Joey also makes a cameo in the upcoming indie flick Final Rinse. Described as "part This Is Spinal Tap, part The Silence of the Lambs, and all farce," Rinse also stars Sebastian Bach (ex-Skin Row singer, currently starring on Broadway in Jeckyl And Hyde)as well as live performances by Bach's The Last Hard Men (his post-Skid Row, pre-solo album outfit that also featured members ex-members of The Breeders, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Frogs), Biohazard, The Dictators, Slaughter, Mars Needs Women, and The Independents.
